Creative Campus

The Sept. 2 article about Disney’s creative campus in Glendale took me on a wonderful journey down memory lane. I was raised in Glendale and one of my earliest memories is riding on my big brother’s shoulders as our family walked down a path next to Grandview on a Sunday afternoon to watch the airplanes take off and land.
During the war, we lived on Newby Street just a block away from the airport. There was a squadron of P-38s stationed there and my mother rented a room to a pilot and his wife.
Whether the Disney plan comes to fruition or not, I had a wonderful time with the “creative campus” of my own memories.
