SAN DIEGO--The Street Scene will be where it’s at next weekend, Sept. 10-12. Food and 12 stages of entertainment will fill 25 blocks of the Gaslamp Quarter. 5 p.m.-midnight Friday; 4 p.m.-midnight Saturday; 1-7 p.m. Sunday. LAKE ARROWHEAD--Music, fine art, crafts, wine tasting and refreshments define the 30th semiannual Art and Wine Festival next weekend, Sept. 11-12. The event will take place on the grassy peninsula area in the village. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. Free. (909) 337-3715.

WASCO--This town’s rose parade might not rival the one in Pasadena, but its roses are locally grown. The 31st annual Festival of Roses next weekend, Sept. 11-12, gets underway at 10 a.m. Saturday with the parade. WILLITS--Logging and railroads will be celebrated at the 17th annual Roots of Motive Power Festival next weekend, Sept. 11-12. Lumberjack handcar races, antique steam machinery displays and a machinery swap meet will be highlights, along with free admission to the Mendocino County Museum.
