OUTLOOK
The Cougars haven’t won a league game since Austin Moherman and Malaefou MacKenzie left two years ago, but the drought should end this season. Veeder believes his team has enough talent to make the playoffs. Whether he can get his kids to believe it is another question. Veeder seems most excited about Dixon and Chapman, his quarterback and running back. “Dixon has a cannon and Chapman has the potential to be a thousand-yard rusher,” Veeder said.
