OUTLOOK
Valencia has missed the playoffs only once in Marrujo’s 18-year tenure and the Tigers are a safe bet to continue that trend with 11 starters returning. Davis is a two-year starter at linebacker; Mora played defensive end last season but will join Davis inside this year. Perez started at defensive tackle as a sophomore, and Hokanson played defensive end but will move to the nose. Fletcher will move from free to strong safety in place of Bartczak, who will take over the quarterback duties. Alvarez was a two-way starter as a junior, and Eddleman is expected to anchor the offensive line. Jensen is a good drive blocker, and Lim is another returning starter up front. Parker is expected to get most of the carries in Valencia’s one-back offense.
