OUTLOOK
At age 27, McCain takes over after spending four years as an assistant at Chino, which won four consecutive Baseline League titles, the Southern Section Division IV title in 1997 and reached the Division II final last season. Canyon returns the entire starting offensive line, featuring all-leaguers Lattos and Welsh, who is a Division I college prospect, McCain said. At quarterback, Bauer returns after starting five games last season. Parker, a transfer from Georgia, and Harvey, a transfer from Louisiana, also should make impacts offensively with their speed at receiver and running back. The defense is less experienced, but has Stuelke, a second-team all-league linebacker, leading the way.
