FOCUS: ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY NEWS : YORBA LINDA
It took nine years to erect the white stucco synagogue on Yorba Linda Boulevard once the zoning was approved and the funds were raised.
But Rabbi David Eliezrie will soon preside over the congregation at the North County Chabad--the only temple for Jews who live in Brea, Placentia and Yorba Linda.
The temple will “be ready for final inspection in two or three days,” Eliezrie said. “Then, I’ll breathe a sigh of relief.”
The timing couldn’t be better. Come sundown next Friday, the synagogue will be furnished and filled with about 100 families celebrating Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year.
