FOCUS: ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY NEWS : IRVINE
The Tustin Market Place will lose the “Tustin” from its name this month.
The Irvine Co., which owns the Tustin Market Place as well as the Market Place, a mirror-image mall across Jamboree Road, will make the move this month to try to unify the complex, company officials said.
The multiplex of shops, restaurants and cinemas sits on the Irvine-Tustin border, just north of the Santa Ana Freeway.
The center has caused confusion for some customers in the past because the two sites of the same shopping center, though similar in design, go by different names and are in different cities, said Larry Thomas, an Irvine Co. senior vice president.
