Bell-Jeff 16, Daniel Murphy 8--Carlos Trujillo rushed 19 times for 108 yards and one touchdown for Bell-Jeff (3-5, 1-0) in a Santa Fe League game at Burroughs.
Trujillo’s 48-yard touchdown run opened the scoring in the second quarter.
Steven Slaughter scored the eventual game-winning touchdown on a five-yard run just before halftime.
Slaughter finished with 74 yards in 12 carries.
Guard Chris Espinoza halted Daniel Murphy’s final drive with a 32-yard interception return with under 1:00 to play.
Axel Marroquin gave the Nobles (0-8, 0-1) an early lead with a one-yard touchdown. Marroquin finished with 43 yards in eight carries.
