DANA POINT
The Orange County Marine Institute will unveil the plans for its new Ocean Education Center during a ceremony Monday at 11 a.m. at the institute, 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive.
The new education center will feature modern learning equipment and programming to serve the more than 78,000 students who attend the institute each year.
State Sen. Bill Morrow (R-Oceanside) and Assemblywoman Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel) will be on hand to present a $1-million state grant that will go toward construction of the new facility.
