Maurice Shaw ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 50 seconds remaining, and Washington rallied to beat California, 31-27, Saturday.

Marques Tuiasosopo overcame three interceptions and two fumbles to complete 10 of 22 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns. He also kept the game-winning drive alive with a 39-yard completion to Dane Looker to the Cal 21. Shaw shook loose for an 11-yard gain and three plays later scored from the two for the decisive score.

Washington, 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the Pac-10, won its 17th straight over Cal (3-4, 2-2).

The Huskies, who haven’t lost to the Golden Bears since 1976, withstood Joe Igber’s Cal freshman record 182 yards rushing in 35 carries. Linebacker Sekou Sanyika intercepted Tuiasosopo twice and Deltha O’Neal also had a fourth-quarter interception, leading to Mark Jensen’s tiebreaking 22-yard field goal.

But Cal couldn’t hold the lead and Kyle Boller’s desperation pass in the final moments was intercepted by Washington’s Omare Lowe.
