Tyler Ebell, who rushed for 643 yards in the first four games for Ventura, has since rushed for 89 yards against Oxnard and 54 yards against San Marcos.
A cause for alarm? Not really.
Ebell has been slowed by a deep thigh bruise suffered in the second half against Oxnard.
“He was really hobbled [last week against San Marcos],” Coach Phil McCune of Ventura said. “There’s a couple times he’s within inches of making big runs and he just can’t. But he’ll be OK.”
