Emergency Workers Honored for Service
Twelve city police officers, firefighters and paramedics will be honored Monday for outstanding service to the community.
About 350 business and community leaders are expected to attend the 20th annual recognition luncheon, sponsored by Los Angeles City Councilman Hal Bernson.
Among the dignitaries expected are Los Angeles Police Chief Bernard C. Parks and Los Angeles Fire Chief William R. Bamattre.
Recipients were chosen by their superiors in recognition of longtime service, community involvement and development of innovative programs.
The noon luncheon will be held at Airtel Plaza Hotel, 7277 Valjean Ave.
