A Bit of Hart-Land at the Rose Bowl

Don’t bother trying to contact Hart football players at home today. More than half the team is expected to be at the Rose Bowl rooting for Kyle Boller, former Hart quarterback, who’s starting as a freshman for California against UCLA.

Loyalties could be tested because Cody Joyce, a former Hart receiver, is a reserve for the Bruins.

David Neill, another former Hart quarterback and a sophomore starter at Nevada, was in town Friday to watch his brother, Jimmy, a receiver for Hart’s sophomore team.

Jimmy has been receiving plenty of training by catching passes from his brother at home.

“That’s why he has such good hands,” David said.
