Playa Vista
* Re “Playa Vista’s Road to Reality Is Full of Twists and Turns,†Oct. 3:
I have to laugh at those who hope to purchase Playa Vista and use it as a park. That’s sort of like reclaiming the 405 for use as a nature preserve. The Playa Vista site has been everything from an airport to a helicopter plant.
The best thing we can do is restore the portion of the land that really is a wetland and turn the rest into housing and businesses that will help improve the local economy.

* There are plenty of locations in Los Angeles to accommodate human habitat. The Ballona Wetlands is not one of them. It is time for the Playa Vista backers to cut their losses and move on with their lives.
