That line of dead and bloodied bodies wasn’t real. The Fire Department held a mass casualty drill Thursday morning at the Huntington Beach Mall, 7777 Edinger Ave. The scenario was a 5.1 earthquake occurring two miles offshore. The most severely damaged structure was the closed Broadway store, with 150 people acting as injured, trapped and dead victims. The exercise was done to evaluate emergency response, field communications and patient care and transportation.
