Moorpark 28, Simi Valley 6--Chris Livy returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the victory at Moorpark.
Moorpark (1-3, 1-0) held Simi Valley (0-4, 0-1) to minus-28 yards rushing.
Moorpark quarterback Dylan McLaughlin completed 19 of 32 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns and one interception.
Ben Santiago completed 14 of 32 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown with one interception for Simi Valley. Santiago was sacked nine times for minus-49 yards.
Calvin Bell, retuning from an ankle injury, caught eight passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.
