PREP FOOTBALL GAMES AT A GLANCE
Marina (1-1-1) vs. Westminster (1-2)
7 TONIGHT WESTMINSTER HIGH
Marina fullback Ray Mietkiewicz, who rushed for 253 yards in the first two games and has been the catalyst for the Vikings’ veer offense, may return after a broken wrist kept him out of last week’s 24-14 loss to Upland. Mietkiewicz’s replacements rushed for only 92 yards and the Vikings scored only one offensive touchdown--an 81-yard scramble by quarterback Beau Brown. The Westminster offense, which has yet to have a running back gain 100 yards this season, will look to the air, where Kelly Coburn has passed for 552 yards. Westminster has a 19-16-1 edge in this rivalry, but Marina won last year, 35-13.
