Santa Margarita fell out of Orange County’s top 10 poll after being pounded, 37-14, by Dana Hills last week at home. This week, the Eagles play another South Coast League team that trounced them, 37-14, last year. The good news? Things can’t get much worse for the Eagles. If they are going to start turning things around before Serra League play starts, now would be a good time. Meanwhile, San Clemente hasn’t looked great in winning two of three--the Tritons are averaging only 17 points. But they haven’t been turning the ball over much--something that has been killing Santa Margarita.
