Muir 28, Antelope Valley 18--Quarterback Kelvan Price ran for 155 yards in 23 carries and scored two second-half touchdowns for Muir at Antelope Valley.
Price, gave Muir (9-2) a 28-12 lead with his 34-yard scoring run for his 18th touchdown of the season with 9:03 to play. The junior ran 23 yards for a touchdown with 7:48 to go in the third quarter, putting Muir ahead, 20-6.
Antelope Valley (4-7) opened the scoring when Jermaine Norman took a reverse handoff from Jon Molock and raced 88 yards to the end zone on the game’s opening kickoff.
Norman finished with 52 in seven carries.
Muir led, 14-6, at halftime following scoring runs of four and one yard by Na’eem Adams. He had 62 yards in eight carries.
Demetre Booker completed eight of 17 passes for 67 yards and teamed with Molock on a 15-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter.
Brent Newcomb said he will return to coach Antelope Valley next season.
