So Shawn Green signs with the Dodgers for $84 million. As a new math teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District, I thought I’d pull out my calculator and put my skills to the test. At a new teacher’s salary, it would take me approximately 2,600 years to earn the $84 million. I had better start putting in my hours.
