Lease Brings Occupancy to 90% at Koll Center

The law firm of Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory signed a 10-year, $15-million lease for 44,290 square feet of space at Koll Center Irvine North, a 178,000-square-foot office tower at Main Street and MacArthur Boulevard in Irvine.

The lease brings the project to 90% occupancy, Koll Development Co. said Tuesday. Other large tenants include architects McLarand, Vasquez & Partners Inc.; Lyon & Lyon LLP; and California Bank and Trust.

Koll Development Co. said it plans to begin building an eight-story, 187,000-square-foot office tower across the street. The company said its expects to break ground by the end of December and complete construction within a year.
