UCLA 12, Oklahoma State 6--Garrett Akkins went four for five, including a three-run homer, to lead the Bruins (31-29) over the Cowboys (40-18) at Wichita, Kan.
Bill Scott had three hits and four runs batted in for UCLA, including his 26th homer. He has homered in seven consecutive games, tying a Pacific 10 Conference record.
Long Beach State 4, Mississippi 3--Scott Redfox’s single drove home pinch-runner Michael Luera in the bottom of the 10th inning, giving the 49ers (34-23) the victory over the Rebels (33-27) at College Station, Texas.
Designated hitter Abel Orozco led off the 10th with a single and was replaced by Luera, who moved to second on Curt Lee’s sacrifice.
Stanford 10, Loyola Marymount 2--Nick Day drove in three runs and Jason Young pitched a six-hitter as the Cardinal (44-13) beat the Lions (33-27) at Palo Alto.
Joe Borchard also homered for Stanford, which has won 17 of 18.
