Javier Mariscal, the city’s economic development manager, resigned last week to take a job with the Olson Co., a Seal Beach developer. Mariscal has worked with the city since November 1997 and was key to efforts to bring more businesses to Lincoln Avenue and other areas of Cypress. A new economic development manager has not been chosen.
