The city’s Memorial Day ceremonies take place Monday at 9:45 a.m. in front of the eternal flame at City Hall, 7822 Walker St. The ceremonies will include speakers from the military and music by the Walker Junior High School and John F. Kennedy High School bands. Walker Street, from Thelma Avenue to La Palma Avenue, will be closed from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. to reduce distractions and noise from passing traffic.
