Online Reservations for U.S. Campsites

You can now reserve online for campsites at more than 1,700 U.S. campgrounds. The Internet site https://www.reserveusa.com covers “the majority” of sites in 43 states managed by the USDA Forest Service and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, according to Andrew Kirkham, vice president of ReserveAmerica (formerly Park.Net), which designed the Web page. The service was originally announced to begin last Nov. 16, but was delayed to reorganize data and iron out bugs, Kirkham said. You must pay for your full stay in advance via charge card. In addition, you can still reserve via an often-busy toll-free phone, (877) 444-6777, from 8 a.m. to midnight daily.
