The Times Orange County publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:
ANAHEIM
* Via Remo: Report of an assault in the 300 block at 1:57 a.m. Saturday.
BREA
* Brea Mall: A grand theft was reported at 8:13 a.m. Saturday. A petty theft was reported at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, and another petty theft was reported at 6:33 p.m. Sunday.
COSTA MESA
* Avenue of the Arts: A 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl were arrested in the 3300 block at 4:20 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of stealing cars. Three cars were recovered.
CYPRESS
* Katella Avenue: Report of a bomb threat at PacifiCare in the 5700 block at 11 a.m. Monday. A female reportedly called and said, “There is a bomb in the building, and it will go off in an hour.” The building was evacuated, but police found no bomb.
* Valley View Street: Report of a grand theft in the 10100 block at 3:29 p.m. Monday.
* Grand Circle: Report of a stolen sapphire and diamond ring and gold necklace worth $280 in the 9000 block at 10:41 a.m. Sunday.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* El Rancho Avenue: Police arrested a man on suspicion of prowling in the 8500 block at 9:50 a.m. Monday.
* Magnolia Avenue: Report of an auto burglary in the 17000 block at 9:20 p.m. Monday.
* Harbor Boulevard at Heil: Police arrested a man on suspicion of narcotics possession at 10:20 p.m. Monday.
FULLERTON
* Associated Way at Bastanchury Road: A child was slightly injured at 8 p.m. Monday when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle near the intersection.
* West Whiting Avenue: Report of a stolen blue Honda Accord in the 500 block at 7:23 p.m. Monday.
* Topaz Lane: Report of a stolen Chevrolet van in the 3300 block at 7:15 a.m. Monday.
* East Dorothy Lane: Report of a burglary at Morningside Church in the 1200 block at 7:44 a.m. Monday.
* East Yorba Linda Boulevard: Report of a stolen 1997 silver Honda in the 3100 block at 12:32 p.m. Monday.
* West Elm Avenue: Report of a residential burglary in the 500 block at 6:41 p.m. Monday.
* West Orangethorpe Avenue: A grand theft arrest was made in the 2400 block at 11:01 a.m. Sunday.
* West Valencia Drive: Report of a stolen 1984 blue Chevrolet van in the 4000 block at 12:09 p.m. Sunday.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Bellshire Drive at Swansea Lane: Police said a man was beaten to death Sunday by acquaintances, apparently over $18 the man owed them. He was taken to Huntington Beach Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m.
* Martin Lane: Report of someone yelling, screaming and threatening to kill another person in the parking lot of Peter’s Landing Shopping Center at 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
IRVINE
* Gillette Avenue: Three vehicles were burglarized during the night in the 17800 block; reported at 7:13 a.m. Monday. All vehicles were entered through smashed windows.
* Fitch: Report of a burglarized 1990 Honda Civic in the 17800 block at 10:52 a.m. Monday. An AM/FM and CD stereo, CDs and cellular phone were stolen.
* Culver Drive at Walnut Avenue: Report of a stolen 1992 red Volkswagen Jetta at 2:41 p.m. Sunday.
* Exeter: Report of a residential burglary in the 100 block at 7:10 p.m. Sunday.
* Parker: Report of a grand theft at 6:58 p.m. Sunday.
LAGUNA BEACH
* Cliff Street at Main Beach: An unattended bag with a wallet inside was taken from the beach; reported at 7 p.m. Monday.
* Ocean Avenue: Someone stole a guitar worth $400 from a rack in a brew pub in the 200 block; reported at 11 a.m. Monday.
LAGUNA HILLS
* Gallup Circle: A mailbox was knocked over and broken in the 25300 block between late Saturday night and 8 a.m. Sunday.
LAGUNA NIGUEL
* Colonial Place: A laptop computer reportedly was stolen from an open vehicle in the 30900 block at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
* Hermitage Lane: A security guard for the gated community in the 100 block reported having a dispute with a 16-year-old resident of the community at 1:20 a.m. Sunday. During the argument, the teenager reportedly twisted the security guard’s arm.
* Kinglet Court: Power tools were reported stolen from an open garage in the 29300 block at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
* Los Brisas: Numerous screens were removed and a window was smashed at a house in the 22700 block at 11:35 a.m. Sunday.
* Chandon: A man reported having an argument with his roommate in the 100 block. During the course of the argument, the roommate said he had a gun; deputies took the gun for safekeeping at 5:20 p.m. Saturday.
* Crown Valley Parkway: A woman was detained for shoplifting in the 28200 block at 5:20 p.m. Friday.
* Vista Court: Construction materials were reported stolen in the 100 block at 1:24 p.m. Friday.
LA HABRA
* East La Habra Boulevard: A bomb squad investigated a suspicious-looking box in front of a law office in the 400 block at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday; authorities said the box was empty.
LAKE FOREST
* Trabuco Road: A man reported that an unknown object smashed through his living room window in the 25000 block at 10:50 a.m. Saturday.
* Miles Avenue at Jeronimo Road: Deputies pulled over a car for a vehicle code violation at 1 a.m. Friday. The male driver seemed drunk and refused to take a sobriety test, authorities said; he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
MISSION VIEJO
* Via Burgos: A man reported that someone hurled an unknown object that shattered the window of his car while he was driving in the 27000 block at 8:05 p.m. Sunday.
* Pacific Crest Drive: A set of golf clubs was reported stolen from an open garage in the 25000 block at 7:40 p.m. Saturday.
* Crown Valley Parkway: A man reported that someone broke into his car in a parking lot in the 27000 block and stole a laptop computer, a blanket, two pairs of sunglasses and a motorized wheelchair; reported at 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
NEWPORT BEACH
* Beacon Street at El Modena Avenue: A man said the windows on his Jeep Cherokee had been shot out; reported at 6:50 p.m. Monday.
* Superior Avenue: A woman punched and kicked another woman in the face in a liquor store in the 1400 block at 2 a.m. Sunday. The victim went to a hospital and was treated for a broken nose. The assailant fled.
ORANGE
* East Maybury Avenue: Someone entered a garage in the 6300 block through an unlocked side door and stole a computer and two electric saws; reported at 1:20 p.m. Monday. Estimated loss is $1,000.
* East Kirkwood Avenue: Report of a residential burglary in the 400 block at 2:15 p.m. Saturday.
YORBA LINDA
* Douglas Lane: A petty theft was reported in the 5300 block at 8:01 a.m. Saturday.
* Savi Ranch Parkway: A grand theft was reported in the 23000 block at 2:17 p.m. Saturday.
* New Gate Way: A petty theft was reported in the 6400 block at 1:43 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Tuesday: Buena Park, Dana Point, Garden Grove, Laguna Woods, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Placentia, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park and Westminster.
