Orange County Water District officials recently received the 1998 Public Education Award from the California Water Environment Assn. for its 1998 Children’s Drinking Water Festival. The two-day festival featured interactive exhibits and water-related games, magic acts and entertainment. It was sponsored by the district’s Groundwater Guardian Team and the Disneyland Resort. The award was presented at the association’s annual conference in Ontario.
