Chinese Spying

Since reading Robert Scheer’s May 11 column, “Our Secrets Are No Use to Them,” I should feel much better about Chinese spying. He dismisses concern about China stealing our sophisticated W-88 miniaturized warhead design as “irrelevant.” He says, “A crude nuclear device placed in a suitcase and smuggled across the Mexican border will do much better because its point of origin will likely go undetected.”
My problem is that, apparently unlike Scheer, I took some science courses and I know that a “crude nuclear device” is about the size of a Volkswagen. A miniaturized warhead, like the W-88, is much more suitable as a terrorist device. Where do you get these guys?
