Carla Poellnitz, a kindergarten-first grade teacher at W.R. Nelson Elementary School, and Kathy Sampson, a seventh-grade CORE and video production teacher at Columbus Tustin Middle School, have been selected as the 1999 Teachers of the Year by the Tustin Unified School District. They will represent the district in the 1999-2000 Orange County Teacher of the Year program. The annual awards recognize Tustin Unified teachers for their outstanding contributions.
