Duval, Woods Go Head to Head

David Duval and Tiger Woods have never been paired in the final group of a PGA Tour event, but they will go head to head Aug. 2 at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks in an 18-hole exhibition.
The match, first reported in The Times on Friday, is expected to be confirmed by International Management Group and ABC on Monday and will be televised live in prime time on the East Coast. The winner will earn $1.1 million of a $1.5-million purse.
Sherwood has been the site of the Shark Shootout since it began in 1989.
