The Seattle Mariners assigned middle infielder and third baseman Joshua Taylor, 22, to Lancaster, which placed first baseman Shawn McCorkle on the disabled list.
Joshua, a 57th-round draft selection by the New York Mets in 1997, was signed by the Mariners during spring training as a free agent after the Mets released him. Joshua hit .264 in 36 games last summer for Kingsport of the Appalachian League.
