Micro General Sells Tustin Postage Unit

Micro General Corp., a Santa Ana firm that is switching its focus from postage services and products to telecommunications and information services, said Wednesday that it has agreed to sell its Postage Scale Division to an Illinois firm, TAN & Associates, in a deal expected to close June 1. Terms were not disclosed.
Micro General previously said it wanted to sell the Tustin-based postage scale division as part of a reorganization.
A Micro General official said late Wednesday that TAN had not said whether it intended to keep the small business in Tustin. The division has fewer than 10 employees.
