Infoseek Reaches Agreement With RealSelect

Infoseek Corp., home of GO Network, has reached a multiyear, multimillion-dollar agreement with RealSelect of Thousand Oaks, which operates Realtor.com, the official Internet site of the National Assn. of Realtors, and HomeBuilder.com, the official new-homes site of the National Assn. of Home Builders.
The agreement calls for RealSelect to provide real estate information as part of Infoseek’s revamped Real Estate Center. The deal includes guaranteed payments for RealSelect, as well as revenue sharing.
The Real Estate Center provides consumers with current listings information, articles, financial calculators and other resources that may be of interest to individuals who are shopping for a home, selecting a real estate professional, evaluating relocation options or researching financing.
“We believe in this partnership with GO Network to provide consumers with easily accessible real estate information,” said Stuart Wolff, RealSelect’s chief executive officer. “With more than 1 million homes for sale online at Realtor.com and over 100,000 homes for sale on HomeBuilder.com, the Internet provides the path for consumers to start their home buying search and GO Network helps direct consumers to our valuable resources.”
The GO Network was launched in January by Sunnyvale-based Infoseek, in partnership with the Walt Disney Co. It is the online home of such sites as ABCNEWS.com, ESPN.com, Disney.com and Family.com.
