Fullerton Won’t Bid to Be Regional Host

Cal State Fullerton won’t bid to host one of the 16 NCAA regional baseball tournaments this season, but is keeping open the possibility of hosting one of the eight two-team super-regionals if the Titans advance.

Fullerton’s May 29 graduation ceremony, which is expected to attract more than 30,000, would conflict with a second day of a regional tournament. The graduation will be held in an open area near Titan Field and will require all parking available in that area, athletic department spokesman Mel Franks said.
