A local firm, EPT Landscape Architecture, has been selected to develop the Orange County Transportation Authority’s first Gateway project--a $300,000, 27-foot-tall monument along the Orange Freeway just south of the Los Angeles-Orange County line in Brea.
A large orange will be placed atop a tower and bear the message, “Welcome to Orange County.” This is the first of six gateway monuments to be built within the next two years; all will be paid for with federal funds. Information: (949) 661-7127.
