The Police Department is planning to start a student version of its citizens police academy at Walker Junior High School. The program is still in the early planning stages, but police and school officials say they will reach out to lower-performing students and focus on decision-making and the consequences of certain actions. They have been given a $1,300 grant from the Anaheim Union High School District to create the program.
