BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Royal d. Loyola, 15-5, 10-15, 15-12--The Highlanders won the Redondo tournament championship, a probable top seeding in the Southern Section playoffs and a measure of revenge.

Royal, ranked No. 2 in Division I, almost surely will swap spots with top-ranked Loyola in next week’s Division I poll, the blueprint for seeding in the Southern Section playoffs, which begin May 14.

Cam Dickson, who has signed with Cal State Northridge, delivered 24 kills and was selected the most valuable player. Ryan Moberly, who has committed to Brigham Young, added 19 kills.
