Pitcher Steve Lee suffered a broken arm in the fourth inning, leaving La Quinta with only eight players, but the Aztecs defeated Pacifica, 15-7, in a Garden Grove League baseball game Friday.
Lee, who is 8-0 and has a career record of 33-1, left the game after breaking his left arm sliding into home.
La Quinta (22-1, 9-0), the third-ranked team in the county, had only eight players left because its lone substitute had already been used. The Aztecs trailed, 6-3, but rallied with six runs in the top of the fourth to take control. Pacifica fell to 9-11, 4-4.
