A Smashing Start for Ricky Martin
The Ricky Martin blitz has begun. The Latin pop star’s crossover campaign, which began with an eye-opening performance on the Grammy Awards telecast in February, has reached radio and retail with his first English-language single, “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” which debuted at No. 1 on both the Southern California and national sales charts. It will be followed by his English-language album, “Ricky Martin,” due in stores May 11.
