About 600 people attended the city’s “Senior Summit” on Tuesday to discuss issues affecting seniors around the world. The meeting, based on the United Nations’ declaration of 1999 as the “International Year of the Older Person,” featured an array of speakers on such topics as housing, transportation and taking care of the elderly who can no longer care for themselves.
