CYPRESS
The City Council this week unanimously approved funds to install a new air-conditioning system for the city’s community theater. The new system will cost more than $40,000. The approval ended 17 months of lobbying by the Cypress Civic Theatre Guild. Ushers often handed out fans during performances because the theater got so hot, guild members said.
