Spring Brings Flowers to Fashion Island
Coinciding with the onset of spring, Fashion Island’s first Flower Festival is underway at the shopping center in Newport Beach.
Landscape workers have installed more than 20,000 plants and flowers throughout the center. They created main gardens near the escalator leading to Bloomingdale’s Home Store and on the grassy area outside Bloomingdale’s main store.
The four-week event will include a free lecture series outside the Pottery Barn, with topics such as “Raising Happy, Healthy Topiaries” and “Enhancing Your Life With Trees.”
Once the festival concludes on April 18, the center plans to give the flowers to a charity. Representatives of interested charities can call (949) 720-3313.
