Boxing Event to Benefit Charities
The Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin has planned an evening of boxing and kickboxing Wednesday to benefit the Marconi Foundation for Kids, which supports children’s charities such as Olive Crest and the Door of Faith Foundation.
Headlining the four-bout boxing card will be a 10-round middleweight fight between Mexico’s Rito Ruvalcaba and Eduardo Ayala. Danny Steele, five-time World Kickboxing champion and current lightweight champion, will challenge Ivan Silva, current welterweight champion, in one of five kickboxing matches.
World Champion Oscar De La Hoya is scheduled to be the guest commentator.
Tickets, which include a traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner and a live auction, are $200 and reservations are required. Doors open at 5 p.m. and boxing begins at 6. The museum is located at 1302 Industrial Drive.
