Cable TV
Your March 2 editorial on the lack of competition in the cable industry is right on. The cable monopolies not only need competition from the satellite operators, but also from other cable companies.
My household is served by Time-Warner. Conversions have been made and a “universal†remote handed us with instructions only an engineer would understand the first time through and almost monthly increases in our bill with nothing to show for them. Programming and service have not improved concurrent with the increases in price. Yet what are the alternatives? Pay the fees or don’t have cable.
