Wyoming? Why Not?: My favorite place in the whole world is Jackson Hole, Wyo. The whole experience in Wyoming is just fantastic. It’s renewing. My wife and I are good skiers, so in the winter we’ll go skiing, and during the summer there’s golf, there’s Yellowstone, there’s just whatever. It’s the best place in the world.
Homebody: When I’m in town working, my idea of a great evening is staying home and entertaining. I love to barbecue. Have some steaks, some music, some good wine, good conversation, some cigars. I’m partial to jazz music. I used to be a drummer before I started acting, and I loved to play jazz. I have a lot of wonderful musician friends, so by the end of the evening, people have usually grabbed guitars off the wall and started playing.
For Art’s Sake: My wife and our two kids are in New York now--we split our time between there and L.A.--so I’m living a bachelor life. When I get up Saturday, I’ll call a few friends and we’ll meet for breakfast at Art’s Deli in Studio City. It’s just the best. I’ve been going there for years. All the waitresses treat me like they’re my aunt. I always order something different, but I like the lox, eggs and onions because I’m kind of on a high-protein thing. And no potatoes. Cottage cheese instead.
The Show Must Go On (Twice): I have two shows on Saturday, so after breakfast I’ll go home and sleep or get ready for the show. It’s a late night; we usually don’t get out of the theater until around midnight, so I’ll just go back home to Woodland Hills. I’ll usually stop at Pickwick’s Pub, which is right around the corner from my house. I’ll have a drink or two, then head home. Because I’m kind of amped after the show, it’s usually 3 to 3:30 before I go to bed.
An Actor’s Life for Me: I’ll sleep in Sunday; no kids to worry about. I’ll just kind of take it easy and wake up around midday. We have two shows on Sunday, too, so after I make some breakfast, it’s off for the matinee. I’m 44 now. I’m old and tired and loving it! I really am pretty tame. All my wild days are behind me.
