Smith Micro Software to Be in Philips Cameras
Aliso Viejo-based Smith Micro Software, Inc. said Tuesday that its software for handling video will be bundled in digital cameras from Philips Consumer Electronics.
Smith Micro’s video conferencing software VideoLink and VideoLink Mail, which allows video camera users to record a video and audio message and send it through e-mail, will be packaged with Philips’ new line of digital cameras. The cameras will be rolled out in Europe in the next several weeks, Smith Micro officials said, and will be introduced in the U.S. late in the second quarter.
Smith Micro stock fell 34 cents Tuesday to close at $2.41.
