Sony Web Site to Be More Fun and Games
Sony Online Entertainment will add 11 classic parlor games to its S[email protected] Web site through a deal expected to be announced today with Total Entertainment Network. San Francisco-based TEN will provide card, board, word and puzzle games for the Sony site, which already features online versions of TV game shows such as “Jeopardy†and “Wheel of Fortune.†The multiyear deal will help Sony Online, a joint venture between Sony Corp. and Culver City-based Sony Pictures Entertainment, encourage Web surfers to spend more time at its site, President Lisa Simpson said. TEN, which operates the Professional Gamers’ League, will provide new games to Sony Online over the course of the partnership. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
