California-South teams have a 41-1 record after two rounds of preliminary play at the U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Regionals in Bakersfield and San Bernardino. Quarterfinals start Thursday. Among the winners Tuesday were: Mission Viejo Mirage (under-18 girls), Southern California Blues (under-17 girls and under-14 girls) of San Juan Capistrano and NHB (under-13 boys) of Huntington Beach.
