NEW COACH

NHL experience--Seven seasons as an NHL assistant/associate coach with Winnipeg (1993-95), Minnesota (1990-92) and Philadelphia (1988-90). As assistant in Minnesota, he reached Stanley Cup finals in 1991 and coached in 1992 NHL All-Star Game.

International experience--Guided team to 77-29-14 record as head coach of Canadian National Team. That team also captured gold medal in 1997 World Hockey Championships. Murray also was assistant and associate coach for Team Canada in 1995-97.

Personal--Age 48. Married to Ruth, has three children: Braden, Jordan and Sarah.
