Carry-on coffee has been cleared for takeoff. The Federal Aviation Administration said last week that passengers can keep cups of coffee they’ve carried onto planes despite rules saying that carry-on items must be put away. The rules came into question due to cuts in airline food service and the boom in airport concession stands. Increasingly, hungry travelers are bringing entire meals aboard. . . . Starting Saturday, the San Diego Wild Animal Park extends its hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. under its “Park at Dark” program, with rail tours featuring nocturnal animals. Tel. (760) 747-8702. And on June 26, the San Diego Zoo follows suit, with daily hours 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Sept. 7. Tel. (619) 234-3153. . . . The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, billed as the world’s largest, on 25 acres at the palace outside London, is scheduled for July 8 to 11 this year.
